Mei Tai Baby Carrier

I had to break down and get it.  The colors are so pretty.  It seems to be well made, and the price is reasonable - being shipped from the UK. I am looking for complimentary wrap fabric to eventually make into an Ocah / Obimama conversion carrier / or something similar.  Just looking for some other babywearing options this time.  I sold my Ergo and want to try new packs.  Gotta have options...

I am weary of asking about it on BW group because they will probably rip me for not buying a babyhawk or whatever approved ergonomic design they use or whatever. So thats mainly why I didn't post anything. I reallllly want to go to a meeting though... I will definitely bring it and ask there. I am sure they will have good advice and feedback. The thing is...even if it isn't designed right.... I could probably send it off for a conversion and have it "fixed" that correct way. Which is what I want to do eventually. So help me look for wraps that would look nice with it!

  3. Love this and such a great price! I'm pretty sure that this is ergonomically correct. It just needs to support baby from knee to knee in a seated position which I'm sure this does. I'll totally help you look for wraps. What color were you thinking or do you like? I know the Didymos Moss wraps are awesome for babies through toddlerhood. It seems like a favorite among those groups and it is a pretty sagey green color. I've seen some dyed more yellow too. For a wrap conversion I don't think you need a very long wrap. I guess it depends on what place you have it converted at but you can check the Ocah or Obimama websites to see how much you need. Always cheaper to buy a shorty. If you have any fabric left over you can always sell it or make a stuff sack/purse with it:)
